HARRIS DELLER I ILLINOIS
CLICK HERE TO SEE ARTIST'S WORK

Working with a deliberately limited vocabulary, Deller investigates the permutations of selected formal elements. Incising pattern is an activity that lies somewhere between marking time and chaos management, at times a spiritual adventure. His work is fired at 2360 degrees Fahrenheit as the hardness and whiteness of porcelain is important. He maintains an interest in landscape and continues to look for elements that are unique to the materials and evolve from the experience of process.
